Hello my fellow bloggers! This is Alexandra Finch. Attached above is a lovely picture of myself for you to enjoy. I'm writing my entry today about why a girl should never wear pants. You may ask me why I choose to write about this and you shall see.Well, today I had a run in with my niece, Jean Louise Finch.She just cannot seem to grasp the concept that young ladies should dress like ladies and not boys. She runs about wild with her brother, Jem, in nothing but a t-shirt and overalls. Overalls...of all things! This is why I, Mrs. Alexandra Finch, came to live in Maycomb County with my brother Atticus Finch. His children need to be taught how to properly act like a Finch but Atticus does not seem to have the heart to do anything about it. He just wants them to be happy. How sweet! Well, I say that they will be even more happy when they act properly and are accepted by society. I believe that teaching these children to act proper is a hopeless cause but since may brother cannot seem to do it properly, the burden has fallen onto my shoulders. They just do not understand; none of them do! Jem Finch, my nephew is turning into a fine young gentleman on his own. Of course, he has his moments of immaturity, but what young boy does not? I can only do my best and pray that his sister turns out to be a proper lady but, if she continues to wear those ghastly overalls, she will get nowhere. To be a lady, one needs to dress the part. She needs to wear nice dresses and proper shoes. When younger, she needs to play with dolls and not spend her time climbing trees or tormenting other people. She needs to sit with poise and grace and speak with purpose and not ramble on about absolutely anything.
